What We Believe

The congregation acknowledges and accepts all the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the revealed Word of God, verbally inspired, the only true and reliable authority for the faith and life of the Church. This congregation also accepts the following Confessional Writings contained in the Book of Concord to be true declarations of the doctrines of the Bible: The Three Ecumenical Creeds (Apostles', Nicene and Athanasian), the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, Luther's Large and Small Catechisms, and the Formula of Concord. The congregation shall decide all doctrinal and conscience matters on the basis of this norm. The worship services of the congregation and all ministerial acts, hymns, and educational materials used are to be in accord with this doctrinal standard.

Hope Lutheran Church is a worshiping community of belivers, members of the Body of Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, by the preaching and teaching of His Word, God calls us to equip and utilize all members for our ministry of witness and service to one another and to our neighbors.
