CHURCH CHOIR REHEARSALS RESUME: On Wednesday, September 15, 7:00 p.m., we will begin preparation of choral music for worship through the fall and holiday seasons. Whether you are an experienced choir singer, or have just imagined that it would be a lot of fun (it is!), you are most welcome. We will prepare and perform music in a wide range of genres which will bring energy and inspiration to our worship services. Please consider sharing the gift of your voice with fellow members to prepare exciting music for the upcoming season. If you have any questions about our choir program, please contact choir director Michael Dart at (206) 779-7704, or at mdart@seattlelutheran.org.
WOMEN OF HOPE - The first Women of Hope meeting this fall is this Thursday, Sept. 9th. Pastor will lead the Bible study, Lesson 6 "Anticipating the Future", in our study booklet, Abiding in Christ. The business meeting will focus on making plans for WOH for the year. The WOH Board will provide refreshments. In support of Human Care Ministries, Women of Hope is collecting supplies for hygiene kits to be distributed via the Compass Center. For September we are collecting cough drops. Donations can be placed in the Mission Box or brought to WOH or Bible study circle meetings.
DIRECTORY PHOTOS - We received a complimentary composite collection of all directory photos that is now displayed on the west wall of the Commons. If you were not able to have your photo taken for the directory or are a new member since those photos were taken in the fall of 2009, we would love to add one to this collection so that we have a complete view of our church family. Just submit a small (2Â X 2.5Â inch) vertical photo to the church office. This will be a wonderful visual way to see how our church grows and a great way to do a quick check of someoneÂs name if you canÂt remember it!
