HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH
December 8, 2013
SUNDAY'S MESSAGE - HOPE FOR THE HEART. Jesus came into the world to bring forgiveness of our sins, peace for our minds, and hope for our hearts. Jesus also invites us into the adventure of sharing that hope with our friends, neighbors, and others whom He brings into our lives so they too might experience hope for their hearts. Our readings for today are
Micah 5:1-5 and Mark 1:1-8.
HOLY BAPTISM - will be administered Sunday during the 10:30 a.m. service to Brody Eric Slawson and Haylie Moira Slawson children of Eric and Megan Slawson. Sponsors are Tim and Moira Cashman. We welcome Brody and Haylie into the family of God and pray for the Spirit's blessings upon them.
PLEDGE REMINDER - This Sunday is Pledge Sunday. As part of our message series all Hope members are invited to consider the evidence of God's blessings and love for them and for Hope and to consider making a financial pledge of how they feel God is calling them to support the mission and ministry of Hope in 2014. Please fill out and return a pledge form (if you give through Simply Giving and would like your amount modified please note it on your pledge card) or fill one out online at www.hopeseattle.org. Our desire is for this to be beneficial for you as you plan your personal 2014 budget; it is also very helpful for Hope's leadership as plans are made for current and future ministries. Please note that if you plan to make an additional gift before the end of the year, we encourage you to look into our electronic giving options. Thank you for your continued support of the mission and ministry of Hope Lutheran Church and School!
