OUR READINGS - James 4: 13-17, Luke 12: 13-21
MESSAGE - It is James who asks the basic question of our readings, "What is your life?" He gives a shocking answer, "You are a mist that appears for a little time." and Jesus says, "One's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions." Given these negative assessments, what then is our life? For that we look to God, who gives life as a gift, and makes human life such a focus of divine care, that Jesus offers his life, that we may have life "...and have it abundantly." We would be fools to look elsewhere for our life.
TUESDAY NIGHT WORSHIP - If you aren't able to attend on Sunday - come, check it out! This informal worship service will continue for two more weeks for those who want to worship but are not able to attend on Sunday. Join us at 6:30 p.m. in the Commons. The music is acoustic contemporary and the message is the same as the previous Sunday. We encourage and invite you to take advantage of this great opportunity to worship during the week!
