 Computer Lab

I'm thrilled and blessed to be a part of Hope Lutheran School! I am honored to work with your children, and have greatly enjoyed helping them discover and explore the exciting opportunities technology has to offer.

In my computer classes, my focus is to support the homeroom teachers' curriculum as we integrate technology into our learning across all subjects and grade levels, as appropriate. I also provide support as teachers bring students into the computer lab to explore subjects with them.

The following general outline is meant to give you an idea of some of the skills and activities we will work on in the Computer Lab, depending on the grade of the class:

  • Computer use (logging in and out, opening and closing files, etc.)
  • Acceptable use of computers and internet safety
  • Keyboarding skills

  • Productivity tools, including:
    • Microsoft Word (writing and desktop publishing)
    • Microsoft PowerPoint (presentations)
    • Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets and chart/graph creation)
  • Internet Explorer, including using the Internet for research
  • Google Earth, including:
    • Sky, Mars, and Moon
