Co-curricular

Clubs

Hope offers many extra-curricular before and after school clubs and enrichments. Current clubs include math club, Lego club, chess club, knowledge bowl, glee club, and daily study hall. After school enrichments can include private music lessons, science camp, soccer camp, and drama club.

L.E.S.T. (Lutheran Elementary Schools Tournament)

Students in grades 5 through 8 have the unique opportunity to compete in a large Lutheran schools' tournament every February in Portland, Oregon, where more than 1000 students from 20 schools compete in events such as basketball, swimming, math, knowledge bowl, drama, spelling, art, and many others. The tournament activities happen over a three day period, with families staying together in the Portland area.

Leadership and Service

Students in grades 3-8 may hold student council positions, serving both as leaders in the classroom as well as helping with school tours and serving the community around us. In 2011, Hope school won the L.E.S.T. "Service Award" out of 20 schools for our service to the West Seattle community.

Athletics

Hope's three-season athletic program offers a wide variety of team sports including cross country, volleyball, flag football, basketball, track, dance, drill, and cheerleading. Under our full time athletic director's leadership, our sports and athletics programs are very competitive.
