Crashing cymbals, tambourines, and dancing…. what?! That’s how the psalms encourage us to praise God? Yes, in fact, that’s exactly what Psalm 150 says - God is so great, His love so enduring, and His presence so faithful that there is all the reason in the world to let loose and praise him with a joyful noise! Praising God is a good thing not only because God is worthy of praise, but also because it distracts us from the burdens we carry when we praise God with our whole heart.
